Patrick Schatz

President

Patrick has been with Schatz & Associates since 2011 and currently serves as the agency’s President. A proud alumni of the University of Iowa, Patrick played baseball for the Hawkeyes before spending a year in the Chicago White Sox minor league organization.
In addition to leading Schatz & Associates, Patrick is the President of Sandlot Baseball, a nonprofit organization focused on developing youth through the game of baseball.

Outside of work, Patrick enjoys traveling with his wife, Jessica, and staying active through CrossFit, running, water sports, golfing, and other outdoor activities.

Sig Schatz

CEO

Sig is the CEO and founder of Schatz Insurance. He started the company with his brother, Bernie, in 1984. He is also an insurance agent working with personal and commercial lines.

When Sig isn’t working he enjoys traveling with his wife, Patty, and skeet shooting. He is the president of Sandlot Baseball, a non-profit organization.

Bernie Schatz

VP of Sales

Bernie is the VP of sales, and he has been with the agency for over 30 years. He is also a commercial lines producer.

Bernie is a lover of stock car racing and travel. Bernie is also a big sports fan. He loves the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago White Sox. When Bernie isn’t in the office he is usually spending time at home with his wife, Carole.

Roger Korjenek

Senior Commercial Account Executive

Roger is our senior commercial account executive, and he has been with the agency for 31 years. His specialty is local businesses.

When Roger isn’t at work he enjoys watching sports, playing golf, and spending time with his daughters, Taylor and Claire. His favorite teams are the White Sox, the Blackhawks, the Bears, and whoever is playing the Cubs.

Matt Sibigtroth

Account Executive

Matt has been with the agency since early 2022 and specializes in personal and commercial insurance.

When he is not at work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons. He is an avid baseball fan, and his favorite team is the Chicago White Sox. He has also spent many years coaching competitive youth travel baseball.

Joe Brickler

Personal Account Manager

Joe joined Schatz & Associates after a 20-year career with Walgreens, bringing a strong background in customer service and client relationships to the agency. He is passionate about helping individuals and families find the right coverage to protect what matters most.
Joe attended Illinois Wesleyan University, where he earned his degree before starting his professional career. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and four children and is an avid soccer fan.

Jessie Casarez, CIC

Director of Operations

Jessie is our director of operations, and she has been with the agency for over 30 years. She is also a personal lines agent and customer service representative.

Jessie is an Ironman triathlete and loves Crossfit. When she isn’t training, she enjoys camping with her husband, Rocky, and playing with their dog and cat.

Daisy Flores

Customer Service Representative

Daisy joined our customer service department in 2019. She is a licensed agent and specializes in personal lines insurance. She is also fluent in Spanish.

Daisy is a full-time student at the College of Lake Villa with plans to major in business administration. In her free time, she likes to go on adventures and travel with loved ones.

Dan Miedziejewski

Customer Service Representative

Daniel works in marketing and customer service, assisting Jessie and Daisy with clerical duties. Daniel loves cooking, video games, comics, tv, movies and music. When he isn’t working, he is probably hanging out with his brother, Mark, and dog, Frankie.

Patty Strom, CISR

Marketing Representative

Patty is our marketing representative. She started working with Schatz Insurance in 1998, over 20 years ago.

Patty loves to be outdoors, whether it’s gardening, canoeing, swimming, hiking, or grilling with the family. She also enjoys spending time with her three children, Christine, Lisa, and Johnny.

Accounting

Kristina joined Schatz & Associates in 2024. She plays a key role in maintaining the agency’s financial operations and ensuring accuracy across all client and company accounts.
